Prevalence of Dental Anomalies in Non-syndromic Cleft Lip And Palate Patients in Erbil City (an Orthopantomogramic Study)

Background and objectives: Cleft lip palate deformity is one of the highly frequent most difficult problems arising in orthodontic clinics, associated with these deformities dental anomalies presented as defect number eruption process, this study aimed to find prevalence cleft patients Erbil city. Method: One hundred orthopantomograms out 167 examined by a well-trained orthodontist for presence hypodontia, supernumerary teeth any impactions arranged according age, gender grouping whether involving alveolus or its unilateral bilateral clefts then analyzed using statistical packages. Results: Prevalence involved total 271 distributed between anomaly, starting hypodontia (139) missed, Impactions (103) impacted Supernumerary (29) teeth, (96%) cases has at least anomaly.
